Finger Lakes Trail System
From the Allegheny to the Catskill Mountains
This footpath exists because of the courtesy of private property
owners and the assistance of local, state and federal agencies. The
trail and facillities are maintained by voluteer trail workers.
PLEASE PRESERVE THE TRAIL BY:
- Foot travel only, unless designated otherwise.
- Stay on trail, respect private property.
- Do not walk on farm crops.
- Reclose all farm gates found closed.
- Camp only in locations designated on maps.
- Fires only at desiognated camping locations.
- Do not cut trees, wildflowers, etc.
- Protect water sources from pollution.
- Pack out your trash.
FOR HEALTH AND SAFTEY
- Boil or filter and treat all drinking water.
- Beware of rabid animals, seek medical attention if bitten or
contact made.
- Be extremely careful fording stream during high water levels.
Use a high watre by-pass if not certain of proper crossing procedures.
