Blue-Eyed Grass

A common flower found in open fields, unmowed yards. Blue-Indigo 6-petaled flower with yellow center pistil. Leaves/plant is very grass-like - looks like a bloom springing from the ends of grass. Careful examination shows its really an Iris-family with the leaves enclosing the stalk. Several species. Blooms May-July.
