Squirrel Corn

A spring flower prefering rich, moist woods. Very like Dutchman's Breeches , but lack the "pant legs". They often can be found together. Blooms a little later than Dutchman's Breeches. Plants more individual - doesn't mound as large as 'Breeches .

The tuber/bulb of this plant is suppose to resemble a corn kernel, though I've never had the heart to check :)
