Early Saxifrage

A small common flower found on sunnier rims of gorges, stony hillsides and stable stream-banks in early spring. Small, often 6" tall or less. Clusters of white/creamy flowers on hairy stalks; flower stalks often surprisingly larger then the small rosette of basal leaves. Small, succulent, egg-shaped, toothed leaves in a low-lying "rosette".
