Common Milkweed

Common type of Milkweed found by roadsides and fields. Pale-pink clusters of waxy-looking flowers - usually late June. Thick stems and large, rounded thick leaves with gooey milk (toxin source for Monarch Butterfly). "Classic" milkweed seedpods with copious fluffy down in fall. Usually found in drier places than Swamp Milkweed.
