Whorled Loosestrife

Yellow flower with red inside. Not uncommon flower found on verges of woods; high forests. Cool how the flower petioles take off from base of leaves, usually in whorls of four. Fringed Loosestrife looks similar, but is larger with slightly toothed petals, blooms a little later in season, and doesn't have the red centers.
