Vriginia Waterleaf

This common late spring, low-growing plant blooms in many of the local, wooded gorges. Terminal cluster of "semi-closed" flowers with long, stick-out pistils. The deeply divided leaves (and water drop marked) distinquish this from Broad-leaved Waterleaf and this typically blooms only in spring. The flowers are typically white, but also pale violet.
