Common Burdock
A common flower/burr follow in open fields, waste places and roadsides. The very round, 1/2", spiny burrs bloom in a purple/lavender, thistle-like tuff. Leaves are heart-shaped near bottom, oval near top. Plants can get extermely large in good conditions. The burrs are extremely "sticky", loving socks and pant-legs.
