Bugle

A low-growing plant found in moist lawns in late spring. The terminal roundish spike of flowers is a unique powder-blue. Leaves are dark green and sometimes tinted with purple - in fall they often turn a maroon-purple. Round, thick, paired leaves on an up-right or trailing stem. Produces runners.

The fast growing runners can be a trouble in the garden. Can take over in damp lawns.
