Whorled Wood Aster

A short, common wood aster found in forests and shady spots. White, 1/2" flowers - flowers cluster at the top of a whorl of terminating leaves. The whorl isn't really a whorl, but close-spaced alternate leaves - and sometimes isn't always-exactly whorl-like on taller plants. The readily identifiable, jag-toothed leaves splay around the stem in a whorl-like terminus for this usually low (6"-2') plant.
