Spring Forget-Me-Nots

A common spring flower, found practically anywhere, but most known in lawns and spring damp spots. Simple sprigs of small 1/8-1/4" flowers with five round petals with yellow or white throat. Leaves have a short-fine nap of hair, distinguishing it from summer's True Forget-Me-Nots.

Spring Forget-Me-Nots bloom early in spring, then get all moldy and die back. True Forget-Me-Nots bloom after this - rarely do these two bloom concurrently, which another good way to ID. Sometimes in damp Fall seasons, Spring Forget-Me-Nots make a brief bounce-back, blooming before the frosts.
