Cayuga Trail runs up Fall Creek in the Town of Ithaca. This trail
below starts at the foot bridge on Fall Creek on Forest Home Drive,
near an area known as "Flat Rocks" (east of Cornell Plantations), and
runs almost to the Fall Creek Bridge on Route 13. The trail is
maintained by
Cayuga Trails Club
and is blazed in Orange.
The foot trail is in very good shape. Sections marked
steep are suitable only for foot traffic. The trail between
Forest Home and Freese Road is well-used and has many interlocking
short-cuts. East of Freese is the area known as Monkey Run, from an
abandon road/bridge that runs through the area. Monkey Run, the road,
starts at the sharp turn in Hanshaw Road, north of SPCA. The other
"end" of Money Run is at the intersection of 366 and Turkey Hill Road,
near the Spring Water Motel, in Varna. Though the Varna side is on
the worng side of Fall Creek for the Cayuga Trail, there is several
good trails and abandoned ralibed there.
